We at New Norcia are working collaboratively with the Archdiocesan Safeguarding Office to ensure New Norcia provides a safe environment for children and all the vulnerable who pass our way.
The program aims to support families and help children thrive. The Safeguarding Officers and the Catholic community as a whole, are committed to providing an environment free from harm. By building stronger communities, we can create safer environments for children.
New Norcia has two appointed Safeguarding Officers; Melissa Victoriano (Parishioner and Staff Member of New Norcia Museum & Art Gallery) and Tracy Sievewright (Staff Member of New Norcia Museum & Art Gallery), as well as a Safeguarding Committee, chaired by the Coordinator Abbot John.
